Ajman Agentic AI has reached a major milestone as the emirate becomes the first government in the UAE to launch headless government services. The new system can proactively help businesses renew trade licences with minimal effort from customers.
AJMAN: Ajman Agentic AI has taken government services to the next level, with the emirate becoming the first in the UAE to launch headless government services powered by Agentic AI. The new system has already completed its first real transaction by renewing a trade licence through a fully proactive digital process.
Instead of waiting for business owners to remember renewal dates or navigate multiple government websites, the new service does most of the work in the background. It identifies when a trade licence is about to expire, prepares the renewal journey and guides customers through the process with minimal effort.

The service is currently available for trade licence renewals through Ajman’s Department of Economic Development. Before a licence expires, customers receive an automatic notification through the AjmanOne app and are connected to an intelligent AI assistant that helps complete the renewal.
If the business also needs to renew its commercial tenancy contract, the system automatically checks with the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department. Customers are guided through that step first before the trade licence renewal continues without having to start the process all over again.
The project was developed by the Department of Digital Ajman, which built the digital infrastructure needed for different government departments to work together behind the scenes. This is what is known as a headless government service, where people don’t have to move from one department to another because the system coordinates everything in the background.
Speaking about the launch, H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to putting people first. He said artificial intelligence should make services faster, simpler and more convenient while improving people’s quality of life.

He added that the launch is part of the Ajman Artificial Intelligence Program, which focuses on using AI to improve decision-making, strengthen government integration and deliver better customer experiences while maintaining governance, accountability and data protection.
Officials say the new system also supports the UAE’s wider vision of using Agentic AI to drive economic growth, improve government efficiency and strengthen the country’s digital future.
The Department of Digital Ajman explained that the headless services model will allow government services to work across existing and future digital platforms, giving customers a smoother and more consistent experience. The department also stressed that AI-powered services will continue to operate under strict governance, secure data protection and human oversight whenever needed.
The launch marks another important step in Ajman Vision 2030, which aims to build a smarter, faster and more proactive government for residents, businesses and investors. As more services move to this AI-powered model, Ajman Agentic AI could reshape how people interact with government, making long application processes and repeated paperwork a thing of the past.
