Sharing an old photo of himself in his school uniform, Salman posted a long note on social media. He said he was saddened to see a peaceful protest turn violent and expressed sympathy for the students and families who were affected.
“It was such a peaceful movement, feel so sad that it had to take a violent turn. My heart goes out to the students and their families who were hurt,” he wrote.
Calling the alleged paper leak a “very serious issue”, Salman said he was happy to see students across the country come together to ask for a better education system. He also appreciated parents for standing beside their children and supporting them through the protests.
