Dubai’s Bus-On-Demand service now covers 20 areas after expanding to Al Satwa, Al Quoz and Mirdif, making it easier for residents to connect with public transport.
DUBAI: Dubai’s Bus-On-Demand service has expanded to 20 areas across the emirate, with Al Satwa, Al Quoz and Mirdif becoming the latest neighbourhoods to join the smart transport network.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said the expansion is aimed at giving residents and visitors more flexible and affordable travel options while improving connections between residential communities and public transport stations.

The service has seen strong growth in demand during the first half of 2026, carrying 527,000 passengers, a 25.1 per cent increase compared with the same period last year. June recorded the highest monthly ridership of the year, with 105,990 passengers using the service.
According to the RTA, the increase in users follows a 54 per cent expansion in service coverage and the addition of more buses. The fleet now includes 55 buses, helping meet the growing demand for flexible transport.
The Bus-On-Demand service is designed to solve the “first and last mile” challenge by making it easier for people to travel between their homes and nearby Metro stations or other public transport services.

Passengers can book a ride by downloading the Dubai Bus On Demand app, creating an account and selecting their pickup and drop-off locations. Payments can be made using credit cards, debit cards or nol cards.
With the latest expansion, the service now operates in Al Barsha, Al Nahda, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai Academic City, Al Rigga, Port Saeed, Business Bay, Downtown Dubai, Oud Metha, Al Karama, Barsha Heights, Al Mankhool, DIFC, Al Warqaa, Dubai Investment Park, JVC, Al Qusais, Al Satwa, Al Quoz and Mirdif.
The RTA said it will continue improving the Bus-On-Demand service as part of Dubai’s vision to build a smart, sustainable and easy-to-use public transport system for everyone.
