HATTA: The Hatta winter initiative is driving local business growth and tourism in 2024, offering a platform for emerging entrepreneurs and showcasing authentic Emirati heritage.

Under the supervision of the Supreme Committee to Oversee the Development of Hatta, the initiative highlights 30 Proudly from Dubai projects, allowing small businesses to present their creative products. Organised by Brand Dubai, the initiative empowers entrepreneurs to expand their market reach and boost visibility.

The event also features 10 enterprises from the ‘Projects of Emirati Families Products’ initiative. These family-run ventures display handcrafted traditional jalabiyas, perfumes, incense blends, and authentic Emirati clothing, preserving local heritage while supporting community-based businesses.

The Hatta winter initiative spans five major festivals, each offering a unique experience. These include the Hatta Winter Festival at Leem Lake, organised by Brand Dubai, the Hatta Cultural Nights by Dubai Culture, the Hatta Honey Festival and Hatta Agricultural Festival by Dubai Municipality, and Hatta x DSF by Dubai Economy and Tourism. Visitors can explore authentic products, sample local cuisine, and participate in cultural activities.

Supporting the event, Dubai’s RTA launched the Hatta Express service, with 14 daily trips from Dubai to Hatta. Over 1,100 parking spaces have been allocated for visitors, with shuttle buses providing easy access to event venues.

Khawla Al Hashemi, Member of the Organising Committee, stated, “This initiative provides a prime platform for emerging entrepreneurs to present their innovative products to thousands of visitors. Last year, over 500,000 people attended, reflecting Hatta’s growing tourism appeal.”

With support from the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and Dubai Economic Agenda D33, the event aims to create lasting growth opportunities for Hatta’s economy and its people.
