Sheikh Ahmed opens Arabian Travel Market, global travel and tourism event

Dubai: Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, inaugurated Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024, the leading global travel and tourism event being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from 6-9 May, The record-breaking edition opened will feature 2,300 exhibitors from 165 countries, with around 41,000 visitors expected to attend the event.

This big event is happening at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 6th to 9th. It’s going to be the biggest one yet, with 2,300 exhibitors from 165 countries and about 41,000 visitors expected to come.

ATM started small in 1994 but has grown a lot. Back then, it only had 300 exhibitors and 7,000 visitors. Now, it’s a huge deal worldwide, covering everything from business travel to luxury vacations. This year, more exhibitors are joining in, showing growth in every area of the event.

Sheikh Ahmed said that the big interest in ATM 2024 shows Dubai is a top spot for tourists. It brings together leaders from all over the world to talk about the future of travel.

At the opening, Sheikh Ahmed checked out different parts of the exhibition with other important people like Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri and Dubai’s Director General of Economy and Tourism Hilal Saeed Al Marri.

ATM 2024’s theme is ‘Empowering Innovation: Transforming Travel Through Entrepreneurship’. It’s all about showing off creative people in the travel industry and how they’re changing things. There will be talks by 200 speakers covering lots of topics like new technology and where travel is heading in the future.
