UAE health authorities confirmed there are no Ebola cases in the country and that surveillance measures remain fully active.

DUBAI: UAE Ebola preparedness remains at a high level, with the Ministry of Health and Prevention confirming that no Ebola cases have been detected anywhere in the country.

The ministry said the UAE continues to maintain advanced public health monitoring systems and remains fully prepared to respond to emerging health developments. Officials stressed that there is currently no cause for concern, with no confirmed Ebola infections recorded within the UAE.

The statement follows coordination between UAE authorities, the World Health Organization and international health agencies regarding a traveller who visited the UAE before later being diagnosed with Ebola after arriving in Uganda several days later. Authorities confirmed that the individual did not visit any healthcare facility while staying in the UAE.

As part of established UAE Ebola preparedness measures, relevant authorities immediately implemented risk assessments, contact tracing procedures and precautionary public health protocols in line with national guidelines and international standards. These actions form part of the country’s comprehensive disease surveillance framework designed to detect and manage potential health threats quickly and effectively.

The ministry reiterated that all necessary preventive measures had been activated and that ongoing monitoring continues in coordination with international partners. Officials said the UAE’s healthcare system remains fully equipped to address public health challenges while safeguarding residents and visitors.

The announcement also highlights the country’s long-standing investment in health security, emergency response capabilities and disease prevention programmes. Public health experts note that rapid surveillance systems and strong international cooperation remain key elements of effective outbreak management.

The ministry emphasised that UAE Ebola preparedness will continue to be reviewed and strengthened as global health situations evolve. Authorities also urged residents to rely only on official channels for health information and avoid sharing unverified reports or rumours that could create unnecessary concern among the public.
