The Amelia Dubai menu brings Japanese-Peruvian flavours, interactive Wagyu, creative desserts and striking steampunk surroundings together for a full evening experience.

DUBAI: Some restaurants are all about the food. Others are about the setting. At Amelia Dubai, both matter, but the music and mood are just as important in shaping the evening.

Amelia Dubai is the kind of venue where the food, interiors, music, and atmosphere all play an equal part in the evening.

The space immediately stands out with its aviation inspired steampunk design. From the large arches and mechanical details to the warm lighting and dramatic dining room, the interiors feel full of character. As the evening develops, the music adds more energy to the venue and gradually shifts the mood from dinner into a livelier night out.

We visited to experience Amelia’s redefined menu, starting with the Beef Tartare Nachos, followed by a fresh sushi selection and the Crab Salad. Each dish had its own flavour and personality, while still fitting naturally into the Japanese and Peruvian direction of the menu.

One of the highlights was the Machu Picchu, an Australian tenderloin served with a hot Himalayan salt block. You can place each piece on the block and cook it further depending on how you like your steak. It made the dish more interactive, but most importantly, the Wagyu itself was tender and full of flavour.

Dessert was another strong part of the evening. The Yuzu San Sebastian Cheesecake had a fresh citrus balance, while the Miso Banana Cheesecake was richer and more unusual, with the miso adding a subtle savoury note to the sweetness.

Amelia works well because it does not feel like you are simply going there for dinner. You can enjoy the food properly, stay for drinks, and let the atmosphere carry the rest of the night.

Thank you to the Amelia Dubai team for the hospitality and for giving us the chance to explore the redefined menu. It was a great evening from the first course to the final dessert.
