Big Bad Wolf Dubai 2026 concludes with record visitors, promoting reading culture through affordable books and interactive programmes.

DUBAI: Big Bad Wolf Dubai 2026 has concluded with record-breaking visitor numbers, reinforcing the city’s growing engagement with reading and literary culture. Held at Dubai Studio City under the theme “beyond noise”, the event brought together over one million books in a large-scale initiative to make reading more accessible.

Organisers highlighted that the fair attracted its highest participation to date, reflecting strong community interest despite a fast-paced digital environment. The success of Big Bad Wolf Dubai 2026 underscores the continued relevance of books as tools for learning, creativity, and personal development.

Andrew Yap, Co-Founder and CEO of Big Bad Wolf Books, said the event placed renewed focus on reading as a foundation for focus and growth. He also emphasised the importance of translating reading into creative expression through initiatives such as the STAGE WRITE programme.

The event saw strong engagement from families and young readers, with high demand for children’s books, activity titles, and young adult fiction. Visitors were also encouraged to explore a wide range of genres, often building personal collections rather than purchasing specific titles.

Interactive workshops and storytelling sessions added depth to the experience, transforming reading into a shared and engaging activity. The STAGE WRITE 2026 initiative, a 48-hour playwriting challenge, will culminate in a live performance at X Fest 2026, extending the impact beyond the fair.

A key highlight remained the fair’s affordability model, with books starting from AED 2 and discounts reaching up to 95%. This approach continues to remove cost barriers and encourage the development of home libraries.

By combining accessibility, creativity, and community engagement, Big Bad Wolf Dubai 2026 has strengthened its role as a platform for inspiration, helping readers reconnect with the value of the written word.
