The new Uber lounge at DXB Terminal 3 gives Uber and Careem Rides passengers an air-conditioned place to sit, charge devices and wait for rides.
DUBAI: Just landed at Dubai International and waiting for your ride? That wait could now be a lot more comfortable. Uber and Dubai Airports have opened a dedicated passenger lounge at Terminal 3, giving travellers an air-conditioned space to relax before getting into their Uber or Careem ride.
The Uber lounge at DXB is located directly beside the main Uber and Careem Rides pickup area. Instead of waiting outside, especially during Dubai’s hot summer months, passengers can now sit comfortably inside while getting ready for their ride. The lounge is designed for tourists, business travellers and residents arriving at one of the world’s busiest international airports.

Inside, passengers will find plenty of practical features. The fully air-conditioned space has air purifiers, comfortable seating and dedicated areas for luggage. There are also high chairs and tables for travellers who want to quickly open their laptop or get some work done while they wait.
Running low on battery after a long flight should be less of a problem too. The Uber lounge at DXB has several charging points, including USB-C, USB-A and regular electrical sockets, so passengers can charge their phones, laptops and other devices before leaving the airport.
The lounge also aims to make finding your car simpler. There is a dedicated queue for UberX and Careem Comfort passengers, along with clear signs explaining where to wait and what to do next. A PIN-based dispatch system helps connect passengers with available vehicles and keeps the pickup process organised.
Majed Al Joker, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Airports, said the aim is to make the experience after leaving the terminal “smoother” and “more seamless”, while giving visitors an organised and welcoming first experience of Dubai.
Tala Nsouli, General Manager at Uber UAE, said the company wants to make each part of a passenger’s journey as easy as possible. She said the new lounge gives Uber and Careem Rides users a place to “relax and recharge” before getting into their vehicle.

The Uber lounge at DXB is also designed to help reduce crowding around the pickup area by keeping passengers organised while they wait. That could make the arrival experience easier not only for riders but also for drivers and other airport users.
And this is only the beginning. The Terminal 3 lounge is the first phase of a wider plan to improve ground transport at Dubai’s airport, with more passenger-focused features expected in the coming weeks.

For passengers arriving at DXB Terminal 3, waiting for an Uber or Careem ride should now be cooler and more comfortable. Charging points, seating and a clearer queue system could also make airport pickups less stressful after a long flight.
