Sharjah Cooperative’s back-to-school campaign combines family-focused shopping options, Emirati products and a prize draw featuring 15 cars and 100 gift cards.
SHARJAH: Sharjah Cooperative has launched a major seasonal initiative aimed at easing the financial pressure families face when preparing children for a new academic year. The Sharjah Cooperative back-to-school campaign has a total budget of AED 2 million and combines school shopping options, support for national products and prizes for customers.
Faisal Khalid Al Nabooda, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Sharjah Cooperative, said the back-to-school period is one of the times of year when family financial commitments rise noticeably. This has prompted the cooperative to expand the range of products and options available to suit different household needs and budgets.
School preparation has also changed significantly. Families are no longer shopping only for notebooks, stationery and traditional school supplies. Modern educational devices and technology have become increasingly important, alongside food products and healthier options for children.
Sharjah Cooperative said these changing requirements were taken into account when preparing its seasonal campaign, creating a broader shopping proposition for families.
15 cars and 100 gift cards available
The Sharjah Cooperative back-to-school campaign also gives eligible shoppers the opportunity to enter a major prize draw.
Customers who spend AED 300 or more at participating branches or through the cooperative’s online store can enter for a chance to win one of 15 vehicles. The prizes include one INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster Fieldmaster, seven Geely Coolray cars and seven Suzuki Baleno cars.
Another 100 winners will receive gift cards worth AED 500 each, representing a combined gift-card value of AED 50,000.
Emirati brands gain greater visibility
The campaign also places additional emphasis on national products and Emirati brands. Sharjah Cooperative is allocating greater shelf space to locally produced goods during a period when demand for school-related products rises considerably.
Al Nabooda said the initiative reflects the cooperative’s wider community role, with high-spending seasons providing an opportunity to offer consumers more choices while addressing essential family requirements.
The approach brings together everyday household needs, local products and customer incentives within one seasonal programme.
Impact to expect
Families in Sharjah could benefit from greater choice during an expensive shopping period, while increased visibility for Emirati brands may encourage more consumers to consider locally produced alternatives. The combination of essential school products, technology, food options and customer rewards could also help Sharjah Cooperative attract stronger back-to-school shopping demand.
With AED 2 million allocated to the overall initiative, the campaign positions the cooperative’s seasonal offering around affordability, choice and community support as families prepare for the new school year.
