A new Dubai humanoid robots deal could supply up to 10,000 robots a year, with possible uses in construction, property, education and gaming.
DUBAI: Imagine seeing humanoid robots working on construction sites, helping with training or carrying out tasks in the property sector. That could become more common in the future after a Dubai company signed a five-year technology agreement with a Chinese manufacturer. The Dubai humanoid robots deal has the capacity to supply up to 10,000 robots every year, although the actual number will depend on testing, demand and how the project develops.
Dubai-based No Competition Infinity Gaming Development Services signed the agreement with China’s Jiangsu Yunmu Intelligent Manufacturing Technology in Taicang, China. The two companies plan to work together on technology that combines humanoid robots with artificial intelligence, digital twins and advanced simulation. Instead of immediately putting thousands of robots to work, the companies will first test what the machines can safely and practically do in real-life situations.

Construction and real estate are among the main areas being studied. Gaming, education, research and technology training are also being considered. One interesting part of the plan is the use of virtual environments and digital twins. In simple terms, this means companies could create a digital version of a real workplace and allow a robot to practise a task there before trying it in the real world. This could help identify problems and improve how the robot performs before it starts working around people.
The Dubai humanoid robots deal will follow a gradual approach. Technology will first be checked and tested, followed by smaller pilot projects. If those projects work well, the companies could then look at using more robots commercially. This is important because the agreement gives capacity for up to 10,000 robots each year, but it does not mean 10,000 machines have already been ordered or will immediately arrive in Dubai.
No Competition Infinity Gaming says the bigger goal is to use robots and AI to make some jobs safer and more efficient. Company president Manuel Zau Polo said the technology could help reduce risks faced by people, support children’s education and create more jobs. The company also wants to use simulation to train and improve machines before sending them into real working environments.
