DUBAI: The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) has launched the first-ever ‘Make it in the Emirates Ramadan Market’, aimed at promoting UAE-made products and supporting the Year of Community 2025.

Organised in collaboration with the Emirates Council for Rural Development, the National CSR Fund (MAJRA), and the UAE Food and Beverage Business Group, the initiative boosts demand for local goods by offering competitive prices from domestic manufacturers.

The market debuted on Monday at the Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, showcasing a variety of Ramadan essentials. Running for the first two weeks of Ramadan, it serves as a platform for local producers to connect with consumers and strengthen confidence in homegrown brands.

Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of MoIAT, highlighted that the initiative provides direct engagement between local manufacturers and consumers, enhancing trust in UAE-made products while driving sustainable industrial growth.

Khalfan Ahmed Mesfer, Chairman of the UAQ Chamber of Commerce, praised the market’s role in boosting national industries, raising awareness about Emirati goods, and fostering economic sustainability.

Mohammed Khalifa Bakhit Al Kaabi, Secretary-General of the Emirates Council for Balanced Development, emphasised the initiative’s impact on empowering local communities and creating investment opportunities for long-term stability.

Sarah Shaw, CEO of Majra, underscored the market’s significance in strengthening private sector-community ties and promoting sustainable consumption of UAE products.

MoIAT has also invited manufacturers to participate in the fourth edition of ‘Make it in the Emirates’, scheduled for May 19-22, 2025, at ADNEC, Abu Dhabi.
