MUMBAI: Aamir Khan Productions has unveiled the first motion poster of Batwara 1947, a major historical drama starring Sunny Deol and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi. Scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14, 2026, the film is set against the backdrop of the Partition and explores themes of courage, resilience and humanity during one of the most turbulent periods in history.

The motion poster offers a powerful first look at the film, highlighting a story centred on a man who stands firm in the face of hatred and fear. The announcement has generated significant interest among cinema audiences, particularly as it reunites Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi after nearly 30 years.
