Rushot Dubai connects users with nearby content creators for smartphone-shot reels, stories and photos, with packages starting at AED 399 and delivery promised in as little as two hours.
DUBAI: A new app aims to make booking a photographer or videographer as simple as ordering an on-demand service. Rushot Dubai connects users with nearby content creators who can shoot social media-ready reels, stories and photographs, with standard packages captured on smartphones and content delivered within hours.
The platform is designed for people, influencers and businesses looking for quick content for events, brand activations, weddings, dinners and personal milestones. Using location-based technology, customers can find and book available creators nearby rather than arranging a traditional production shoot days in advance.
Rushot offers three packages. Rush costs AED 399 and includes one reel, two story videos and two photographs, with delivery in two hours. Rush Plus costs AED 799 and includes two reels, four story videos and five photographs, with delivery in four hours. Rush Pro provides a customised option for larger projects and enhanced production requirements.
The idea emerged from co-founder Arfaz Iqbal’s experience at a wedding, where he wanted to share a photograph of himself wearing a jacket loaned by a fashion label but could not quickly obtain an image from the event photographers.
“I was at a wedding wearing a jacket loaned by a fashion label, but when I wanted to post a photo, I didn’t have a single one,” Iqbal said.
Iqbal later joined forces with serial entrepreneur Arun Mohan, while Emirati businessman Shanavas P completed the founding team. According to the company, future plans could include greater use of artificial intelligence in video editing to shorten turnaround times further.
Beyond serving customers, Rushot Dubai is also positioning itself as a marketplace for photographers and videographers. A dedicated creators platform allows professionals and aspiring creators to list details including their experience, languages, equipment and location. Ratings, reviews and portfolios can then help creators establish their reputation and attract clients.
The company says standard videos and photographs are captured exclusively on smartphones to prioritise speed and a social-first look. Custom shoots can use professional cameras where higher production quality or specific creative requirements are needed.
Rushot is also looking beyond the UAE. Its founders say San Francisco is planned as an international expansion market, while a franchise operation in India is being prepared for later in 2026.
The app is available on the Play Store and App Store.
Impact to expect
The service could make short-form content production more accessible in Dubai while giving independent creators another route to paid assignments. Its biggest test will be whether customers embrace on-demand content creation as a regular service rather than something reserved for major occasions.
