UAE Hajj 2027 registration is now open for eligible Emirati citizens until September 25, with applications submitted digitally through AWQAF UAE.

ABU DHABI: UAE Hajj 2027 registration has officially opened for Emirati citizens planning to perform the pilgrimage during the 1448 AH/2027 season. The General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat is accepting applications from September 14 until September 25, 2026, giving eligible citizens a limited window to complete the process online.

Registration is available through the authority’s smart application and official website. The authority has urged applicants to submit all required information within the specified period and ensure their details are complete before sending their applications.

Who can register for Hajj 2027?

The current registration is limited to UAE citizens who have not previously performed Hajj. Citizens who registered during the previous season do not need to submit a fresh application. Instead, they are required to update their existing request.

For UAE Hajj 2027 registration, applicants should download the latest version of the AWQAF UAE smart app and sign in using UAE Pass. They can then select the Hajj Package service, choose the registration option, complete the requested information and review the applicable terms and conditions.

After submitting the application, each applicant receives a reference number. This number is important for tracking the application and for applicants who want to use the family-linking service.

How does family linking work?

Citizens who want to add a mahram, companion or family member must ensure that the person being added has already completed their own registration and received a reference number.

The applicant can then use the Application Status section to add family members, enter the relevant person’s reference number and submit the linking request. The person being linked must subsequently access their own account, select “User Information” and confirm the request.

Applications will be assessed through an automated screening system. Earlier official information on the 2027 Hajj season said the screening process is scheduled to be completed by October 9, when approved pilgrims are due to be announced. Successful applicants will then be contacted to complete the required procedures.

Applicants can also monitor their request through the Application Status option in the authority’s digital service.

Impact to expect

The early UAE Hajj 2027 registration window gives authorities more time to organise screening, travel arrangements and pilgrim services ahead of the 2027 season. For prospective Emirati pilgrims, completing the digital process before the September 25 deadline will be the key immediate step towards securing consideration for the pilgrimage.
