ABU DHABI: The UAE Verify platform, launched by the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) in January 2022, has successfully issued over 21.789 million certified digital documents to date. This achievement highlights the growing reliance on digital authentication tools in the country’s transition towards comprehensive e-governance.
Designed to streamline operations for both government and private sectors, UAE Verify allows entities to immediately validate the authenticity of digital documents issued by official authorities, without the need for hard copies or certified true copies. It significantly reduces administrative burdens while ensuring the integrity of official records.
Currently, the platform facilitates verification for 55 types of documents from 22 federal and local government institutions. This includes a wide range of documents such as licences, permits, certificates, and approvals used for personal, commercial, and administrative purposes.
A key feature of UAE Verify is its integration of blockchain technology—a secure, real-time digital ledger that ensures transparency, data integrity, and privacy. By using blockchain, the platform enables users to convert their documents into fully authenticated digital versions, which are tamper-proof and can be verified instantly.
This innovation reflects the UAE’s long-term commitment to building a future-ready digital infrastructure that enhances service delivery, safeguards data, and supports its smart government strategy. It also aligns with national goals for digital transformation across public and private sectors.
TDRA continues to expand the reach and capabilities of UAE Verify, reinforcing its role as a central pillar in the UAE’s digital evolution. As adoption grows, the platform is expected to simplify document verification across a wide range of services for residents, businesses, and government stakeholders alike.
