UAE cyberattacks reach up to 200,000 attempts daily, with 128 confirmed incidents recorded across the country in 2026.
ABU DHABI: UAE cyberattacks have surged in scale, with authorities blocking between 90,000 and 200,000 breach attempts every day, according to the head of the UAE Government Cybersecurity Council. Officials confirmed that 128 cyber incidents have targeted entities nationwide since the beginning of 2026.
The data shows that 71.4 percent of confirmed cases were linked to state sponsored groups, highlighting the growing sophistication of global digital threats. Critical sectors, including government systems and strategic infrastructure, remain primary targets for coordinated cyber activity.
Authorities said the country’s advanced cybersecurity framework continues to detect and neutralise threats before they cause disruption. The high volume of UAE cyberattacks reflects both the nation’s digital expansion and the increasing reliance on interconnected platforms across public and private sectors.
Officials emphasised that continuous monitoring, artificial intelligence driven detection tools and rapid incident response systems have played a key role in minimising operational impact. Coordination between federal and local entities has further strengthened national resilience against external threats.
Experts noted that rising geopolitical tensions and global supply chain digitisation have contributed to the spike in UAE cyberattacks. Public awareness campaigns and private sector collaboration are also being expanded to reduce risks such as phishing, ransomware and social engineering attacks.
Authorities reiterated that safeguarding digital infrastructure remains a national priority, with ongoing investments aimed at strengthening cyber defences and ensuring long term security across the UAE’s rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.
