Abu Dhabi hosted the first TIME100 Impact Awards on December 9, 2025, recognising four global leaders for transformative work in sport, technology, branding and motorsport.
ABU DHABI: The inaugural edition of the TIME100 Impact Awards took place on December 9, 2025, on Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island, celebrating global leaders making a positive mark on their industries and communities. The prestigious event honoured Alexis Ohanian, Jamie Salter, Kate Kallot and Zak Brown for their contributions to innovation, inclusion, business, and performance leadership.
Organised by TIME and supported by Capital.com and NMDC Group, the event was attended by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, alongside TIME CEO Jessica Sibley and senior business leaders. In his remarks, Dr. Al Zeyoudi praised the honorees as reflective of a changing world driven by creativity, innovation and collaboration, adding that the UAE remains a global platform for opportunity.
Alexis Ohanian, founder of Seven Seven Six and Reddit co-founder, was honoured for his investments in women’s sports and inclusive business models. Kate Kallot, founder of Amini Tech, was recognised for using AI to empower farmers in the Global South. Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, received the award for team building and leadership in Formula One. Jamie Salter, CEO of Authentic Brands Group, was acknowledged for reshaping the global branding industry.
Each honoree shared insights on resilience, innovation and vision. From sports to AI and branding, the panel discussed building future-ready systems that empower people and drive meaningful change. Guests also heard remarks from Capital.com Founder Viktor Prokopenya and NMDC Group CEO Yasser Zhagloul, who both praised the UAE’s innovation ecosystem and support for global leadership.
The event underscored Abu Dhabi’s growing role as a host of world-class gatherings, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to innovation, collaboration and impact across borders.
