Sharjah Municipality has warned owners of impounded vehicles and machinery to complete the release process within four days or risk losing them at a public auction.
SHARJAH: If your vehicle has been impounded in Sharjah, now is the time to check.
Sharjah Municipality has given owners just four days (from the date of their post below) to claim their impounded vehicles and machinery before they are sold through a public auction.
The warning doesn’t apply only to cars. It also covers motorcycles, bicycles, machinery and other equipment currently being held by the municipality.

In a notice shared on Instagram, the municipality urged owners to visit its offices as soon as possible and complete the necessary procedures to avoid their property being auctioned.
To reclaim an impounded vehicle or equipment, owners must visit the Control and Inspection Department in Industrial Area 5. There, they will need to resolve the reason for the impoundment and complete all the required release formalities.

Officials are urging people not to leave it until the last minute. Once the deadline passes, vehicles and machinery that have not been claimed could be put up for public auction.
The municipality has not announced any extension to the deadline, so anyone with an impounded vehicle is advised to complete the process as soon as possible.
