The new JLT Link electric bus service starts today on August 1, making it easier for residents and visitors to travel around JLT and Uptown Dubai.
DUBAI: Getting around Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) is about to become much easier. DMCC has launched JLT Link, Dubai’s first fully electric community bus service, connecting key locations across JLT and Uptown Dubai.
The new service begins today, August 1, and is designed to help residents, workers and visitors move around the area without needing a car. The buses will stop at popular destinations, including restaurants, cafés, offices, hotels and retail outlets.

The JLT Link network includes 18 bus stops across JLT and Uptown Dubai. It also connects passengers to both DMCC Metro Station and Sobha Realty Metro Station, making it easier to continue journeys across Dubai.
The fleet includes buses with 16, 23 and 31 seats. All buses have low-floor entry, wheelchair access and space for standing passengers, making the service more convenient for everyone.
Inside JLT, two circular routes will run every 20 minutes, while the route linking Uptown Dubai and DMCC Metro Station will operate every 30 minutes.

The JLT routes will run from 6.30am to midnight from Monday to Saturday, and from 9.30am to midnight on Sundays. The Uptown Dubai route will operate daily from 6.55am to 8pm.
The launch is part of DMCC’s wider efforts to make JLT a greener and more sustainable community. Other environmental initiatives in the neighbourhood include solar-powered facilities, Dubai Can water refill stations and community recycling programmes.
With the launch of JLT Link, residents and visitors now have a cleaner and more convenient way to travel around one of Dubai’s busiest mixed-use communities.
