A gas cylinder explosion at a car showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road killed one person and injured five others before emergency teams brought the situation under control.

DUBAI: One person has died and five others have been injured after a gas cylinder exploded at a car showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road on Monday evening.

The blast prompted a rapid response from Dubai Civil Defence, with emergency crews rushing to the scene within minutes to control the situation and assist those affected.

People nearby reported hearing a loud explosion before seeing emergency vehicles arrive at the showroom. Firefighters quickly worked to contain the incident and prevent any further danger.

Dubai Media Office confirmed that the explosion was caused by a gas cylinder inside the car showroom.

The injured were given immediate medical attention before being taken for further treatment. Authorities have not yet released details about their conditions.

A short while later, officials confirmed that Civil Defence teams had fully brought the incident under control and secured the area, allowing emergency operations to conclude safely.
