The National Centre of Meteorology said local convective clouds could develop during the afternoon, bringing rainfall of different intensities to some areas.

The unsettled spell is linked to several weather systems affecting the region at the same time. These include the northward movement of the Intertropical Convergence Zone, an upper-level trough extending from the east and a surface low-pressure system arriving from the south.
Moist air moving in from the Sea of Oman is also supporting cloud formation. When this moisture combines with high daytime temperatures and the influence of the eastern mountains, it can create the right conditions for afternoon rainfall and thunderstorms.
