AD Ports Group operations continue normally across all clusters despite regional tensions, with crisis protocols activated to ensure uninterrupted services.
ABU DHABI: AD Ports Group confirmed that AD Ports Group operations across all its clusters are continuing as normal despite evolving regional developments affecting maritime routes.
The Abu Dhabi-based global trade and logistics company said it has activated crisis management and business continuity protocols as a precautionary measure. These steps are being implemented in coordination with relevant UAE authorities to safeguard employees, partners and stakeholders while ensuring uninterrupted services for customers.
Officials said AD Ports Group operations across all UAE ports and terminals managed by the Ports Cluster remain fully operational. Related port services are also continuing without disruption.
The company noted that maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has declined amid the current regional situation. As a result, a temporary reduction in vessel calls at Khalifa Port may occur. However, authorities confirmed that services at Khalifa Port will remain fully operational.
Across the organisation’s Maritime and Shipping Cluster, the majority of the Group’s 122 vessels, including container, bulk, Ro-Ro and multipurpose ships, are currently operating outside the Strait of Hormuz. Vessels presently within the Strait continue providing intra-Gulf services.
Overall, the company expects only limited impact on maritime activities, with AD Ports Group operations remaining stable across its global network. The Economic Cities and Free Zones as well as the Logistics Cluster are also expected to experience minimal disruption.
Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO of AD Ports Group, said, “Global trade has historically demonstrated resilience during periods of geopolitical tension. Through disciplined execution, operational excellence and proactive risk management, AD Ports Group remains well positioned to support supply chain stability and uphold its commitments to customers across its global network, in line with vision with our wise leadership.’’
The Group said it continues to monitor geopolitical developments closely while assessing potential implications for shipping routes, supply chains and global trade flows.
