Drishyam 3 earned about ₹66.75 crore net in India and nearly ₹95 crore worldwide on day one, giving Ajay Devgn the biggest opening of his career.

MUMBAI: Ajay Devgn has registered the biggest opening of his career with Drishyam 3: The Conclusion, as the thriller stormed the Indian box office on its first day and delivered a strong worldwide debut.

The film earned about ₹66.75 crore net in India on day one, according to box-office tracking reports, with the India gross estimated at around ₹80.10 crore. Worldwide collections reached approximately ₹95 crore, narrowly missing the ₹100 crore mark.

Ajay Devgn breaks his own opening record

The opening comfortably surpassed Devgn’s previous career-best debut, Singham Again, which had opened at around ₹45 crore in India.

It also marked a dramatic rise for the Drishyam franchise. The first Drishyam, released in 2015, opened at ₹5.85 crore, while Drishyam 2 collected ₹18.15 crore on its opening day.

The strong start was supported by robust advance bookings and high audience interest surrounding the conclusion of Vijay Salgaonkar’s story.

Worldwide collection nears ₹100 crore

Overseas markets added more than $1.5 million on the opening day, helping the film reach roughly ₹95 crore worldwide. The performance makes Drishyam 3 one of the biggest Hindi-film opening days and the strongest global debut of Devgn’s career.

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film brings back Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar alongside Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta and Rajat Kapoor, while Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj and Saurabh Shukla join the cast.

Impact to expect

With a near-₹100 crore worldwide opening and strong early audience response, Drishyam 3 is positioned for a major opening weekend, with its Saturday and Sunday collections now determining how far the thriller can extend its record-breaking run.
