The decision took effect on Thursday, September 24, 2026, according to an official statement carried by Emirates News Agency (WAM). The aviation regulator has not announced a date for services to resume.
Why has the UAE suspended Iranian airline flights?
The GCAA said the decision was taken in light of a US ban imposed on Iranian airlines using airports in countries around the world.
