DUBAI: Commuting in Dubai just got smarter and more connected. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed the rollout of Dubai free public Wi-Fi across 43 key public transport locations—21 bus stations and 22 marine transport stations—enhancing the experience for daily commuters.

The free Wi-Fi service, launched in partnership with telecom provider e&, allows passengers to stay online during their journeys using smartphones, tablets, or laptops. This move is part of RTA’s broader digital transformation strategy to improve convenience, efficiency, and satisfaction for residents and visitors alike.

The RTA said the initiative supports the UAE’s vision of a digitally advanced society and reflects Dubai’s ambition to be the smartest and happiest city in the world. Whether you’re catching a bus to work or a marine ferry across the creek, staying connected is now easier than ever.

By providing Dubai free public Wi-Fi, the RTA aims to make everyday travel more engaging and productive. Passengers can check emails, stream content, or browse the web during transit—helping them make the most of their time on the go.

Officials added that the service will be continuously evaluated and upgraded in collaboration with e& to ensure high-speed, reliable connectivity across all RTA transport facilities. This includes exploring future expansions beyond the current 43 stations.

This move not only bridges digital accessibility but also aligns with Dubai’s smart city vision, ensuring that innovation touches every aspect of public life.
