Al Ain Zoo welcomed 226 students on the unique Al Ain Safari in 2022

Al Ain: In 2022, Al Ain Zoo was delighted to welcome 226 students on the unique Al Ain Safari to provide an exceptional learning experience offered by the school programs team to teach the younger generation about different ecosystems and give them an opportunity to explore the amazing variety of wildlife at the safari tour.

During the tour, the Zoo’s team of knowledgeable experts serve as guides throughout the exciting adventure. Students navigate the safari in a special vehicle to witness the different animals. including antelopes, zebras, ostriches, giraffes, and others in their natural habitats. They are able to absorb valuable information about the safari ecosystem and its wildlife, raising their awareness of animal conservation and nature preservation, as they are informed about the Zoo’s significant initiatives that support this vital cause.

The Giraffe Feeding Experience is one of the most exciting experiences that students look forward to; they get to call the giraffes by name and experience the joy of feeding them, seeing these gentle giants up-close while interacting with them.

The student tours are conducted in Arabic or English, depending on their preference, for grades 1 to 12, as part of the special school trips and seasonal camps offered by Al Ain Zoo with the aim of creating an interesting educational format for students to discover and learn more through a diversity of techniques that support innovative educational needs. The tours are designed to help to raise participants’ awareness of biodiversity and nature conservation in accordance with the Zoo’s mandated objectives.
