Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, assured that Dubai is always prepared to face challenges under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. He emphasized Dubai’s strong crisis response mechanisms, backed by government and community support.

Sheikh Hamdan approved urgent initiatives to lessen the impact of severe weather in Dubai, formulated during a recent meeting with government heads. Attended by H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister, the meeting assessed efforts to ease weather-related repercussions.

Under Sheikh Hamdan’s guidance and Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s oversight, Dubai’s teams and volunteers have been addressing challenges based on thorough assessments. He established a committee to review requests from affected Emirati citizens and directed coordination between the Dubai Land Department, RERA, and property developers to expedite recovery efforts.

Dubai offers affected residents alternative housing, food distribution, pest control, enhanced security, cleaning services, insurance assessment, and risk evaluation—all without extra charges. Sheikh Hamdan pledged personal monitoring of response progress, ensuring effective support for all.

He formed a committee chaired by Omar Bushahab to aid affected citizens, comprising Dubai’s key departments. Sheikh Hamdan appreciated the Economy and Tourism Department’s collaboration with hotels for temporary accommodation, stressing citizens’ well-being as a top priority.

Sheikh Hamdan instructed the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department to provide humanitarian aid and activated the ‘Jood’ platform to receive private sector contributions for affected individuals. He affirmed Dubai’s commitment to swiftly assisting those impacted by extreme weather, showcasing unity and resilience in times of crisis.
