ABU DHABI: The Ramadan food aid initiative by the International Charity Organisation is in full swing, with 5,000 food parcels being distributed across the UAE. This effort aims to support low-income families during the holy month, reinforcing the values of compassion and solidarity.
Dr. Khaled Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the Organisation, highlighted the significance of the initiative, stating that it reflects the charity’s deep commitment to social responsibility. “Our teams are working tirelessly to ensure that aid reaches those in need efficiently and effectively,” he added.
The Ramadan food aid campaign is part of a broader set of humanitarian projects carried out both locally and internationally. These include meal distributions, support for Muslim villages, zakat contributions, orphan sponsorships, mosque and well construction, and the development of Quran memorisation and health centres.
As Ramadan is a time of generosity, the initiative not only provides essential food supplies but also fosters a sense of community and support for vulnerable families. The organisation aims to maximise its impact by reaching as many beneficiaries as possible, ensuring that no one is left behind.
With the UAE known for its strong charitable spirit, the Ramadan food aid programme further cements the nation’s commitment to humanitarian work. The initiative aligns with the country’s broader efforts to promote inclusivity and social welfare, making a tangible difference in the lives of thousands.
