NCM forecasts unstable weather across the UAE from Tuesday to Thursday, with scattered rainfall, strong winds and rough sea conditions expected.

ABU DHABI: NCM forecasts unstable weather across the UAE from Tuesday night until 5 March, with increasing cloud cover and scattered rainfall expected in several regions.

The National Centre of Meteorology said cloud formation will begin on Tuesday night over islands and western areas, bringing a chance of light rainfall. The low pressure system is forecast to deepen on Wednesday, with clouds moving towards Abu Dhabi and inland areas before extending to northern and eastern parts of the country.

Rainfall is expected to vary between light and moderate intensity, with heavier showers possible at times in some northern and eastern regions. Authorities indicated that conditions may fluctuate during the period, particularly as the system strengthens midweek. A gradual decrease in cloud cover is anticipated starting Thursday night as the weather system moves away.

As NCM forecasts unstable weather, wind conditions are also expected to shift. Winds will begin as southeasterly before turning northwesterly, ranging from moderate to fresh at times. These changes may cause blowing dust in exposed areas and lead to a noticeable drop in temperatures across the country.

Sea conditions are forecast to deteriorate gradually in the Arabian Gulf from Tuesday night through Thursday, becoming rough. In the Oman Sea, waves are expected to be slight to moderate but may turn rough at times during peak conditions.

Residents are advised to stay updated through official weather bulletins, particularly those planning marine activities or travel. With NCM forecasts unstable weather continuing into Thursday, precautionary measures are recommended in affected areas.
