Emirates flew 55.6 million passengers in 2025, expanded its fleet and routes, introduced new tech, and reinforced its position as the world’s largest international airline.
DUBAI: Emirates marked a historic year in 2025, carrying 55.6 million passengers across nearly 180,580 flights, reaffirming its position as the world’s largest international airline. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the airline continued shaping the future of air travel with major advancements in fleet, connectivity, accessibility, and customer service.
A key highlight was the introduction of Airbus A350 aircraft, now flying to 18 global cities. Emirates also expanded Premium Economy services, which are now available on over 100 aircraft and across 70 cities, covering nearly 40% of its fleet.

Network growth in Asia featured prominently, with new daily routes to Shenzhen and Hangzhou in China, and service launches to Da Nang and Siem Reap via Bangkok. The airline also introduced refurbished Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s with enhanced cabin experiences.
During the Dubai Airshow 2025, Emirates unveiled plans to install Starlink satellite internet across 232 aircraft, beginning with Boeing 777s. Emirates will be the first to operate Airbus A380s equipped with Starlink, with 123 aircraft expected to offer ultra-fast internet across all classes by end of 2026.
Sports partnerships also expanded, including a seven-year deal with FC Bayern Munich, extended ties with World Rugby, and continued support for AC Milan, Real Madrid Basketball, ATP Tour, and UAE Team Emirates XRG. The airline reached over 70 million rugby fans through its new European Professional Club Rugby partnership.
Other achievements included launching Emirates Courier Express in 10 international markets, celebrating 25 years of Skywards loyalty programme with 37 million members, and delivering nearly 400 billion reward miles across 190 countries.
In the field of social impact, Emirates distributed over 3,700 handcrafted backpacks via the Aircrafted KIDS initiative in eight countries. The airline also became the world’s first Autism Certified Airline, training over 30,000 staff, enhancing its Accessible Travel Hub, and launching sensory-friendly inflight products.
Emirates concluded 2025 by winning 25 international travel awards, including the Best Airline in the World at the ULTRAs for the eighth consecutive year.
