KUWAIT CITY: Two injured Kuwait refinery debris incident was confirmed early Monday after debris fell at the Al-Ahmadi refinery, according to an official statement.
Ghanem Al-Otaibi, spokesperson for Kuwait National Petroleum Company and Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company, said the incident resulted in minor injuries to two workers. The matter was addressed immediately in line with established safety and security protocols.
The injured employees were transferred to Al-Adan Hospital for treatment and are currently in stable condition under medical observation. Authorities emphasised that emergency response procedures were activated promptly to ensure the safety of personnel.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Otaibi confirmed that refinery production and operations were not disrupted. Emergency teams implemented the rapid response plan and took all necessary precautions to safeguard staff and facilities.
He further stated that no material damage occurred as a result of the debris fall. The Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery continues to operate at full capacity, with worker safety maintained as the top priority.
