Dubai:  Visitors to the Museum of the Future’s Tomorrow Today exhibition will now be greeted by an advanced, AI-powered humanoid robot. Named Ameca, the humanoid is described by its manufacturer, Engineered Arts, as the world’s most advanced human-shaped robot representing the forefront of human-robotics technology. The robot features a human-like face and a robotic body, shaped like a human. Ameca will interact with visitors, directing them and answering their questions. She is capable of making facial expressions and even has a sense of humour. Tomorrow Today is one of the museum’s experiences. It explores the contrasting ways in which technology can shape the future by contributing to solving societal and environmental challenges. It features more than 50 exhibits, including prototypes and current products focusing on five areas: waste management, environment, food security, agriculture, and city planning.

About Museum of the Future

The Museum of the Future is hope for optimistic imagination, committed to a more sustainable future for all. Their goal is to inspire and empower people to positively shape humanity’s next chapter.

The building is an architectural and engineering marvel. It confidently straddles the past and the future, applying advanced technology to traditional art forms. The building ‘speaks Arabic’: its facade is a canvas for the poetry of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum rendered in the calligraphy of Mattar bin Lahej.

The building’s form is futuristic: it opens a new path away from the highrise towers that dominate skylines everywhere. Its form is symbolic: The circular building represents humanity; the green mound it sits atop represents the earth; the void represents the unknown future.

The Museum builds on the visionary culture that has transformed the UAE into one of the world’s most advanced nations in less than 50 years. We are a showcase for the spirit of courage, optimism and innovation that propels Dubai forward.
