ALERT: Speed limit reduced on Al Ittihad, Al Wahda roads in Sharjah

The new Speed limit on Al Ittihad road will be 80kmph instead of 100kmph. However, it is not immediately clear when the new rule will go into effect.

Sharjah: RTA Sharjah announced the reduction of speed limits on two major roads of Sharjah Al Ittihad and Al Wahda. According to a map shared by the authority, the new speed limit begins from the King Faisal Bridge (Near Sharjah City Center) to Al Taawun Bridge (Sharjah-Dubai border).

The E11- Al Ittihad road is useing by thousands of motorists who make the Dubai-Sharjah commute, including Al Taawun, Al Nahda, Al Wahda, Al Rolla, Qasmia and Al Majaz.

This move has been implemented to “ensure smooth traffic flow on the roads”, which sees daily heavy traccif situation during peak traffic hours in morning and evening.

RTA Dubai also conducting an survey among the parents of school kids, to ensure the smooth flow of traffic during school opening and dispersal time in designated school areas.
