In Pictures: India’s 75th Independence Day celebration at Indian Consulate, DubaiSun 15 Aug 2021
The 75th Independence Day of India was celebrated on Sunday the 15th August 2021 at the Consulate General of India in Dubai with patriotic fervour. Consul General Dr. Aman Puri unfurled the Indian Tricolor at the Consulate premises and all Consulate Officers and staff including representatives from Indian Community in Dubai sang the National Anthem.
Consul General Dr. Aman Puri read out the address of Hon’ble President of India to the Nation on the eve of 75th Independence Day.
It was followed by a short video released by the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India to mark the 75th Independence Day-“Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. A Global Digital Painting and Poster Making Competition by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations was also announced.
A short cultural program showcasing India and its glorious 75 years journey, through music and dance was presented by the Indian performing arts center MALHAAR.
Continuing the spirit of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Consulate General of India launched Art & Craft exhibition in July 2021. Artworks of six artists including school students were also displayed to mark the 75th Independence Day.
The event was also joined by Indian community members in the United Arab emirates through the Consulate’s YouTube channel.
