Ramadan in Dubai: Explore pop-ups and markets curated to celebrate the Holy Month across the city

Dubai: This Ramadan in Dubai, explore an exceptional selection of seasonal pop-ups and bustling markets that capture the spirit of giving for the holy month. Throughout Ramadan in Dubai, there are more opportunities than ever to spend time with friends and family at a host of experiences curated by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE).

Al Barsha Park Ramadan Market is open from 4 PM to 12 AM until May 1 at Al Barsha Pond Park. Sample treats from all over the globe, participate in fun contests, shop for Eid gifts from a range of retail outlets and enjoy the on-ground entertainment to make the most of any visit. 

Enjoy the beautiful ambience amidst the mountains at Hatta Hub. Browse outlets featuring a host of distinctive goods, with everything from gift ideas for family, friends and loved ones to iftar boxes, desserts and more. Open daily from 4 PM to 12 AM until May 1.  

Every weekend until 16 April, Freej Al Khawaneej in Al Khawaneej Walk and Last Exit Al Khawaneej is the place to go for traditional celebrations for all to enjoy, including live music, Hakawati storytelling, Ramadan quizzes and free activities for the young ones from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM. 

Visit Souk Al Marfa to shop unmissable Ramadan offers across fashion, perfume, homewares and more. Shop for AED150 or above to enter a daily draw and get the opportunity to be the lucky winner of a staycation at Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai. Four winners will be announced each week until April 25. 

Head down to the iconic Time Out Market Dubai every evening until April 21, for the best in live entertainment coupled with homegrown foodie favourites from 17 kitchens including 21 Grams, Al Fanar, BB Social Dining, Brix by 3fils, Little Erth, Long Teng, MASTI, Nightjar, Pickl, Pitfire, Reif Japanese Kushiyaki, Scoopi Cafe, and Vietnamese Foodies. 

Check out the Rigga Night Market for a Ramadan shopping experience unlike any other, with pop-up shops selling clothes, accessories, and seasonal Ramadan essentials, plus street food flavours from around the world. Open from 4 PM to midnight daily until April 30.  

The Ripe Market Academy Park Ramadan Souk runs every weekend until April 30 from 9 AM to 9 PM on Saturdays and 9 AM to 7 PM on Sundays. Perfect for family outings, with a chance to shop for one-of-a-kind products from local merchants and makers, and sample Middle Eastern delicacies. Kids can enjoy arts and crafts sessions, while adults can opt for henna art or marvel at the skills of the calligraphy artist. 

Shop for AED250 and above at F&B outlets in Dubai Festival City Mall for a chance to win family-favourite prizes by verifying receipts at the customer service desk. Win anything from a free ticket to Bounce X to full-day access to GLOWLAND, to Al-Futtaim gift cards. When shopping at City Centre Mirdif, make a beeline for the ‘Sweet Corner’ showcasing 6 creative dessert concepts that are not only ideal for iftar and suhoor treats but also support those in need with part of the retailers’ profits being donated to charitable causes. Open from 4 PM to 12 AM until April 24. 

Take a trip to the Ramadan at Oasis market at Oasis Mall and shop for Ramadan products such as honey, dates, traditional sweets, and decorative and gift items between 10 AM to midnight every day until 21 April. Visitors are offered gahwa (Arabic coffee) and dates daily after Maghrib prayers. Free henna sessions are also available every weekend. 

For the young ones, AstroLab in Nakheel Mall offers hands-on learning activities with free space, and science and art workshops running every day from 2 PM to 10 PM until April 16. Emirati jewellery artist, product designer and sculptor Azza Al Qubaisi is also displaying a unique art exhibition at the mall, titled Art and Music for the Soul

From 4 PM to 10 PM until April 20, the main stage of Mercato will be host to a wide variety of fun shows and activities, such as an Aladdin show, storytelling, live music, lantern decorating workshops, face painting, and more. What’s more, in the spirit of Ramadan, give back to the less fortunate and take part in the “Share Your Blessings” initiative by donating books, clothes, toys or non-perishable food items at designated donation areas by the main entrance. 

Ramadan at Jumeirah Emirates Towers offers a splendid buffet for iftar at AED 295 per guest and suhoor at AED220 per guest, at Terrace Between the Towers on level 1, until April 20. Enjoy Middle Eastern flavours or international favourites paired with live entertainment from sunset to 3 AM. The Ramadan District on the ground floor also offers a traditional experience of customary Ramadan practices and a variety of activities, food and entertainment options for visitors to delight in from 6 PM to 2 AM.
