Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026 returns with a 360-degree stage, more than 100 musicians, four musical Gurus and Shreyas Talpade as host.
MUMBAI: Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026 has returned to Zee TV with one of its biggest productions yet, featuring more than 100 musicians, an expansive chorus ensemble and a 360-degree stage designed to bring the atmosphere of a live concert to television.
The new season premiered on September 19, 2026, and airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 pm IST on Zee TV and Zee5 Global. The long-running singing reality show is positioning its latest edition as “Hindustan Ka Sangeetsthan”, with Indian musical traditions and emerging singing talent at the centre of the format.
One of the biggest changes this season is the scale of the musical production. According to Zee TV, the programme features more than 100 musicians alongside a large chorus ensemble. Its 360-degree set is also being billed by the broadcaster as a first for an Indian music reality show.
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026 brings together Shankar Mahadevan, Kumar Sanu, Neeti Mohan and Javed Ali as its four musical Gurus. Rather than only evaluating contestants, the four singers and composers are expected to guide participants and share their musical experience throughout the competition.
Actor Shreyas Talpade is hosting the season, adding a familiar Bollywood presence to the new format.
The programme will also showcase musical traditions from different parts of India through contestant performances. Zee TV says the approach is intended to preserve the show’s focus on authentic voices while presenting Indian music on a considerably larger stage.
The new edition is also aimed at viewers outside India. Zee5 Global is carrying the programme internationally, while Zee TV highlighted its availability to South Asian audiences in markets including the United States and Canada.
The show’s return builds on a television franchise that has spent nearly three decades providing a platform for singers. This season seeks to combine that established talent-search format with the visual and musical scale associated with a concert.
Raghavendra Hunsur, Chief Content Officer at ZEEL, said the ambition was to create “a complete world dedicated to music”, bringing contestants, musical Gurus and a large orchestra together within the revamped production.
With its expanded orchestra, immersive set and experienced panel, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026 is placing live musicianship at the heart of its latest television makeover.
Impact to expect
The larger production could help the programme appeal to younger streaming audiences while retaining viewers familiar with the franchise, and give Indian musical traditions greater visibility among international audiences.
