Residents and citizens in the UAE can now invest in government-issued Treasury Sukuk (T-Sukuk) starting from AED4,000 ($1,089) directly through the Emirates Islamic mobile app, under a new Ministry of Finance partnership.
ABU DHABI: The UAE Ministry of Finance has expanded its Retail Sukuk initiative through a new partnership with Emirates Islamic Bank, making government-backed T-Sukuk accessible to retail investors via the EI + Mobile Banking App.
This marks the third agreement under the programme and opens up fractional sukuk investment to UAE nationals and residents, with a minimum entry point of AED4,000. The move aims to boost financial inclusion, encourage long-term saving, and deepen participation in Islamic finance and local capital markets.
Through the app, users can register using Emirates ID or UAE PASS, fulfil KYC and risk profiling, and access sukuk terms and transaction details, creating a secure and transparent investment journey.
Ministry officials say the partnership supports the UAE’s broader economic sustainability goals and strengthens financial literacy and digital adoption in Sharia-compliant investment tools.
All sukuk issued under this initiative will be listed on the Emirates Islamic platform, with the bank providing subscription, trading and investor education support, including educational sessions, FAQs and awareness campaigns.
