DUBAI: Dubai dates factory visit by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum highlighted the country’s growing strength in advanced food industries and global production capabilities.
During his visit to Al Barakah Dates Factory in Dubai Industrial City, Sheikh Mohammed reviewed operations at the world’s largest privately owned dates processing facility. Spanning over 800,000 square feet, the factory has an annual production capacity of 100,000 tonnes and exports to nearly 100 countries.
The Dubai dates factory visit underscores the UAE’s strategy to transform traditional sectors into modern, high-value industries. Sheikh Mohammed emphasised that the dates industry reflects how the country is turning its agricultural heritage into a globally competitive sector.

During the tour, he was briefed on production processes, packaging and the factory’s wide product range by founder Saleem Mohammed and Managing Director Yousuf Saleem Mohammed.
Located within Dubai Industrial City, part of TECOM Group, the facility benefits from strong logistics connectivity through major transport hubs.
