AIM Congress 2026 has brought global investors, policymakers and business leaders to Dubai, with LuLu Group Chairman Yusuff Ali joining discussions on shifting investment flows and the GCC’s growing economic role.
DUBAI: AIM Congress 2026 has opened at Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing senior government officials, policymakers, investors and business leaders together for three days of discussions on where global capital and investment opportunities are heading next.
Running from September 7 to 9, the 15th edition comes as economies navigate geopolitical uncertainty, changing trade patterns and supply-chain pressures. The event is focused on identifying new investment pathways, strengthening economic partnerships and examining opportunities for sustainable and inclusive growth.
LuLu Group International Chairman Yusuff Ali M.A. attended the opening and participated in a high-level panel examining the changing geography of global investment.
Drawing on his experience of building LuLu Group’s international retail footprint, Yusuff Ali highlighted the UAE’s stability, infrastructure, openness and investor-friendly environment. He also pointed to the GCC’s growing significance as both an international investment destination and an economic link connecting Asia, Africa and Europe.
AIM Congress 2026 is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
This year’s theme, “Reshaping Global Prosperity: Unlocking New Investment Pathways Towards a Sustainable and Inclusive Future”, reflects the changing international investment landscape and growing interest in emerging economic corridors.
India also has a significant presence at the Congress, with government and business delegations representing several states.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav is leading a state delegation, while ministers and representatives from Punjab, Bihar and Odisha are also participating. Their presence highlights expanding UAE-India economic engagement and opportunities spanning retail, food processing, agriculture, logistics, manufacturing, infrastructure, technology and tourism.
On the sidelines, Yusuff Ali and senior LuLu Group officials held discussions with the Madhya Pradesh delegation on potential investment and stronger trade and business cooperation. LuLu representatives also met officials from other participating Indian states.
The discussions are particularly relevant given LuLu Group’s retail investments in India and its extensive retail and sourcing operations across the GCC.
With Dubai hosting investors and decision-makers from multiple markets, AIM Congress 2026 also underlines the UAE’s ambition to strengthen its position as a globally connected hub for capital, enterprise and international trade.
Impact to expect
The Congress could generate new investment conversations and cross-border partnerships while strengthening Dubai’s role as a meeting point for global capital and expanding commercial links between the UAE, India and other growth markets.scription
