UAE sends 238th aid plane with 90 tonnes for Palestine people
Sat 15 Jun 2024Abu Dhabi: The UAE dispatched another plane on Thursday, carrying 90 tonnes of relief and food aid to Al Arish city, Egypt. This aid is intended for transportation to the Gaza Strip, part of ongoing efforts to ease the humanitarian crisis there.
Under “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3,” this batch includes 450 tents, food parcels, and dates. It marks the 238th aid flight to Al Arish since the operation began.

Launched on November 5, 2023, “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3” is led by the Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defence. It involves cooperation with organizations like the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation. The aim is to provide urgent relief aid to support Palestinians in Gaza.

The UAE has transported 33,000 tonnes of food, medical aid, and shelter equipment through 395 cargo planes. Additionally, 103 planes were involved in airdrops as part of the “Birds of Goodness” operation. Aid to Gaza also included 6 cargo ships from the UAE and Cyprus to Al Arish and Northern Gaza, along with 1,243 aid trucks.
The UAE’s commitment to supporting Palestinians spans decades, reflecting a humanitarian approach. This ongoing aid effort underscores the UAE’s firm stance on providing relief aid to those in need.
