Saudi Arabia introduced a trial for self-driving air taxis at holy sites. Saleh Al-Jasser, the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, launched the trial. It’s the world’s first air taxi licensed by a civil aviation authority, as per the agencies.

These air taxi services will help transport pilgrims between the holy sites, assist in emergency travel, transport medical equipment, and provide logistical support for moving goods.
