UAE rulers pardon hundreds of prisoners ahead of Eid Al Adha

Dubai: Ahead of Eid Al Adha, the rulers of the UAE have decided to pardon many prisoners. This act of kindness means that hundreds of people will get a chance to be with their families and start fresh. UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today ordered the release of 1,138 inmates from correctional institutions on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha. His Highness also pledged to cover all fines imposed on the inmates, who had been sentenced for a variety of offences.

H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has ordered the release of 233 prisoners who have demonstrated good conduct during their incarceration in Ajman’s correctional and punitive facilities, on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.

RAK Ruler pardons 481 prisoners ahead of Eid Al Adha
H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has ordered the release of 481 prisoners ahead of Eid Al Adha.

Fujairah Ruler pardons 94 prisoners ahead of Eid Al Adha
H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, has ordered the release of 94 prisoners from punitive and correctional institutions in Fujairah, on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.

This directive demonstrates his commitment to promoting rehabilitation and second chances within the community. The inmates of various nationalities were selected based on good conduct and behaviour.
