DUBAI: Aster Volunteers expands mobile healthcare network with the addition of five new mobile medical units, strengthening its mission to deliver accessible care to underserved communities. The expansion brings the global fleet to 76 units, with 54 now operating across India.
The newly launched units will be deployed across key northern cities including Ranchi, Kanpur, Bhopal, Jaipur, and Bhubaneswar. The initiative focuses on improving last-mile healthcare delivery, particularly for vulnerable populations such as street dwellers, slum residents, and the elderly. By reaching communities directly, Aster Volunteers expands mobile healthcare network efforts to bridge critical gaps in access.
The mobile units are designed to provide free primary consultations, non-communicable disease screening, maternal and child healthcare, and health education. Equipped with medical-grade facilities, they also enable early diagnosis and timely referrals, ensuring comprehensive support at the community level.
This expansion builds on previous deployments across major cities including Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Patna, and Kolkata. Partnerships with organisations such as Thanal and Malabar Gold and Diamonds Charitable Trust support operational sustainability and community integration, enhancing the programme’s long-term impact.
