Dubai and Abu Dhabi have been recognized as the best global destinations for employment, ranking within the top 5 worldwide.

London secured the leading position for yet another year since 2014, while Dubai and Abu Dhabi claimed third and fourth places, respectively.

These Middle Eastern cities are the only representatives from the region to make it in the top 10, as per a report by management consultancy Boston Consulting Group.

The report highlighted the key reasons for professionals considering relocation, with factors such as “financial and economic reasons”, “career progression”, and “better overall quality of life” at the forefront. Dubai is believed to excel in providing all of these qualities, catering to various preferences.

When deciding on a country for residence and work, having English as the primary language emerged as a crucial factor to consider, followed by top-tier salary packages, a culture of diversity and acceptance, and a smooth relocation process.

Earlier this year, Dubai authorities had announced a significant reduction in the processing time for work visas, as part of a new and faster initiative.

The time it takes to process a work visa has gone from 30 days to just five. Additionally, the number of documents required have also been trimmed down from 16 to five.
