Al Mamzar Beaches project gains momentum as Mohammed bin Rashid reviews progress under Dubai’s AED3bn beach development plan.
DUBAI: Al Mamzar Beaches project moved closer to completion as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum reviewed progress on the flagship development, part of Dubai’s wider AED3 billion beach expansion strategy. The initiative aims to transform the emirate’s coastline into world-class destinations while enhancing quality of life.
During the visit, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the importance of the Al Mamzar Beaches project in supporting Dubai’s long-term vision to become the world’s best city to live in by 2040. He noted that the broader beach development plan will increase beach capacity by 170 per cent, catering to growing tourism demand and population growth.
Spanning four million square feet, the Al Mamzar Beaches project is designed as a premium family destination capable of welcoming up to seven million visitors annually. The development includes extensive leisure and service facilities, with a focus on accessibility, sustainability and community wellbeing.
Key features include a 24-hour women-only beach with night swimming, a floating walkway at the lagoon, and a waterfront dining experience. The destination will also offer more than 5.5 kilometres of walking, cycling and running tracks, creating an integrated beachfront and park environment.
The Al Mamzar Beaches project forms part of a broader portfolio of coastal developments across Dubai, including upgrades in Jumeirah and Jebel Ali areas through 2030. Officials said the project aligns with strategic plans such as the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Quality of Life Strategy 2033.
Smart technologies, including artificial intelligence and Internet of Things systems, are being integrated to enhance safety, improve services and streamline operations. The Al Mamzar Beaches project is expected to boost tourism, create investment opportunities and further strengthen Dubai’s position as a leading global coastal destination.
