UAE announces New Year Holiday on January 1, 2023

UAE: New Year’s Eve is on December 31, 2022, people who work in the private sector will be pleased to know that there is a public holiday on New Year’s Day 2023 has been confirmed.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has announced that work will be off on January 1.

Although Sundays are a usual day for those working a Monday to Friday week, those who have to work the last day of the week will benefit from the public holiday.

If you love public holidays (who doesn’t?) there are plenty coming up in 2023 to look forward to. Indeed, there will be 13 public holidays next year, with many of them falling before Friday, meaning we’re set for some extra long weekends, including one that might last six days.
