Dubai Media Council launches #RamadanInDubai campaign

Dubai: The Dubai Media Council launched the #RamadanInDubai campaign, marking a historic collaboration between the public and private sectors to celebrate the Holy Month of Ramadan. The initiative was unveiled at a press conference held at the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO).

HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed conveyed his greetings to the UAE leadership and the community on the occasion of Ramadan. He described the campaign as a platform to share the essence, beauty, and warmth of Ramadan while showcasing the rich cultural heritage and traditions associated with the Holy Month in the UAE. By uniting Ramadan festivities organized by various entities in Dubai under one umbrella, the campaign aims to create an unforgettable experience for the community, aligning with Dubai’s vision to be the world’s premier city for living, working, and visiting.

Brand Dubai, the creative arm of GDMO, has been tasked with managing the campaign’s implementation. HH Sheikh Ahmed commended the efforts of all partners involved in organizing events and activities that embody the spirit of Ramadan. He emphasized the campaign’s role in enhancing Dubai’s cultural identity and promoting peaceful coexistence among its diverse population.

HH Sheikh Ahmed directed the streamlining and consolidation of efforts among participating entities to ensure a distinctive Ramadan experience for both residents and visitors. He emphasized the campaign’s goal of creating an authentic Ramadan ambiance across the city, reflecting Emirati customs and traditions.

The partnership and collaboration between government and private sectors are integral to Dubai’s societal fabric, noted HH Sheikh Ahmed. He highlighted their contribution to Dubai’s reputation as a city prioritizing the happiness and well-being of its residents.

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has been designated as a Strategic Partner of the campaign, alongside other key partners including government departments, private companies, and community organizations.

During the press conference, Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, and Director General of GDMO, expressed gratitude to all campaign partners. She emphasized the campaign’s role in elevating Dubai’s global status as a destination offering unique experiences.

Her Excellency highlighted the campaign’s aim to spread the joy and vibrancy of Ramadan celebrations across the city. Guided by HH Sheikh Ahmed’s directives, the campaign seeks to unify the efforts of various entities to foster a sense of shared celebration during Ramadan.

Mona Al Marri emphasized the media’s role as a key partner in promoting the celebrations. She assured that the Government of Dubai Media Office is committed to providing media with necessary support and information to cover Ramadan events and celebrations.
