Since it started in 2015, Souq Al Jubail in Sharjah has become a popular spot, welcoming over 50 million shoppers and visitors. It’s not just a market; it’s a key place for shopping, a commercial hub, and a tourist attraction.

Mohammad bin Essa, who manages assets at Sharjah Asset Management, shared that this achievement of hosting so many visitors in the past 8 years has made Souq Al Jubail one of the most important places for tourists and shoppers in Sharjah. This success is thanks to the vision of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, who wants Sharjah to be a symbol of progress and prosperity.

Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammed is particularly interested in Souq Al Jubail and has opened new branches in places like Dhaid and Kalba, with another one in Al Madam coming soon. The goal is to offer high-quality food products to more people in Sharjah.

Bin Essa mentioned, “Every year, Souq Al Jubail attracts more visitors and shoppers because of our services that meet everyone’s needs. We have become one of the most important markets and tourist destinations locally and globally.”

He explained, “Year after year, the market sees more visitors because of our comprehensive services, good prices, and a wide range of fresh and high-quality products. We aim to provide a comfortable and unique shopping experience that meets the highest global standards, making us the preferred destination for visitors.”

He pointed out the market’s uniqueness, especially the fish section with over 250 types of fish, supporting fishermen and giving customers more choices. This also helps control the prices of different types of fish.

Souq Al Jubail has 261 shops in three main sections: fruits and vegetables, meat, and fresh fish. It also offers convenient services like ATMs, a hypermarket, and pharmacies.

The Souq is not just about shopping; it has the Al Jubail 1441 Restaurant, providing beautiful views of Sharjah Creek and serving seafood, Arabic and international coffee, fresh juices, and hot and cold drinks.

Throughout the year, Souq Al Jubail hosts various events like exhibitions, festivals, and the annual Dates Festival since 2015, attracting date traders and vendors.

In Al Dhaid, Souq Al Jubail covers 78,000 square meters, divided into sections for meat, fruits and vegetables, and fish, offering 86 commercial units. In Kalba, it spans 33 thousand square meters with sections for meat, fish, and fruits and vegetables, also including special facilities like restaurants, a café, a play area, and prayer rooms.

Souq Al Jubail is part of Sharjah Asset Management, the investment arm of the Sharjah Government.
