The Pokémon Company International and The Wand Company have teamed up to release premium replicas of the classic Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, and Premier Ball.

These $99.99 die-cast metal balls come with sensor-tech that causes the button to light up and change colour when pressed.

Alas, whipping this nifty device out with all the flair of a master and declaring battle is about how far you can go. A good throw would shatter both the replica and your self esteem.

The device weights in at 10.5oz, about twice the weight of a baseball and good figure heavier than a cue ball.

It is uniquely described to possess “real heft.”
